We are asking registrants to provide us with their credit card numbers so we can process the payments manually but half of the responses are coming in with hashtags instead of the numbers, which the registrants insist they entered completely. Is this something we can fix on our end????

You should integrate your form with one of the payment integrations that JotForm has. You can not ask for such data manually.
