How can I add a question which has a lot of text?

Asked by cknoren on October 13, 2016 at 02:58 PM

There is a release of info which is many words and will be a drop down or check yes or no. It's too long to have in a standard format. Is there another way to display this?

You can add the text to your field as label; however, by default it will look like this:

However, you can change this and display the text on the top side of the question then displaying the field right below of the text.

To do it, click on the field and go to the label align option, once there select the option "Top", this way you will have the text displayed in a better way:

Alternatively you may use the HTML Text Field which will help you to display and format the text you need for each question:

But do note that this text by default does not display in the submissions page nor email notifications, if you want it to be shown in the submissions page you will need to follow this guide: How-to-show-headers-or-text-for-contracts-terms-agreements-in-the-PDF-format-of-a-submission

However, in emails the Text field cannot be included and you will need to manually write all the text for each question, so the best way would be to add the text as label for each question, this way you will not need to change anything else in your form.

    Hope this helps.
