    Why text (read only field) won't show in Thank You message and email?

    Hello! I am trying to copy some text info and have it appear in the Thank You message and in the emails sent. I have used the field details name to copy that info and put it into both places, as shown below, but it is not displaying. How can I get the text to show? Thanks!

    I created a clone form in the meantime as I needed to use it ASAP. It looks like you filled out that clone form and not the one from the URL above (https://form.jotform.com/62696200142146). It is still not showing the details for me.

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to display the field data of a text field from the form in the Thank you message or notification. It is required to display the text by entering it manually in the Thank you page/email notification.

    As I recheck the screenshot in your earlier response, it looks like the properties is merged with a different field. Generally, a text field properties window is displayed with only text and no field information is available.

    Could you check this again on your form at your end? Thanks!

    You are correct, however, if you click "edit HTML" first and then click the properties button, it will display the field details as well.

    Yes you are right, I can see field details after I clicked edit HTML:

    My colleague Kiran is right that you can not insert text field into Thank You page using field ID's. You can copy and paste the text you want to be seen into the Thank You page. The insertion technique, using curly brackets and filed ID's, is used when a user's information is needed to be inserted in an area like emails or thank you page, after he\she submits information to a form.
