    bookmark icons?

    Asked by Nieboy on May 02, 2012 at 11:47 AM

    Hi, I am a user of capsule CRM and have noticed a neat trick they have done that has help brand there service well for mobile devices.  they have used there favicon as an icon when someone book marks there site on there mobile screen.  I am not a programmer nor do I know html but it seems to me that there must be some code in the header of the page that links to the favicon.  I was wondering if there was anyway to do this for jot forms? it would not only create a design element for mobile data collection, but would even open up your forms look like a web app simply by having a icon inplace of the standard bookmark icon.

    here is the post about the moble app....http://support.capsulecrm.com/customer/portal/articles/189850

    This favicon is configured on the domain name where the form is assigned which in this case is jotform.ca  this cannot be removed or changed unless you change the form URL to your own. As an alternative solution you can embed the form on a blank webpage hosted in your own domain and then edit the header to add your own faveicon.

    You may use Embed or iFrame codes for this solution

    To get your form's source embed codes:

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed tab
    2.  Click Embed Form
    3.  Click Embed or iFrame

    4.  Copy the codes provided in the succeeding screen

    Create a blank page with all the basic html codes

    To use your own faveicon you can add this script within the <head>....</head> tags:

    <link rel="Shortcut Icon" type="image/x-icon" target="_blank" href="http://yourdomain.com/myicon.ico" rel="nofollow noopener" rel="nofollow">

    You can insert the iframe codes in between the <body></body> tags.

    Please give this a try and let us know if it works.
