Form calculation widget refreshes each time I save it. Is there a solution or any other way to get the total of my products?

So, the jotform widget I was using has been updates so now whenever I save the calculations I've entered. it saves and refreshes the whole page. I have 15 of these calculation sections to input and it's taking me an hour to do one.

This shouldn't happen, but the calculation will close as soon as you click the save button. If you are still experiencing this, I would suggest clearing your browser cookies for Jotform and clear your browser cache as well.

Thank you, I cleared the cookies and cache, it is still frozen.

I have each category of drinks in the inventory listed with the relevant items. If I could collapse these categories so it doesn't have to load hundreds of individual items, then I think it would load faster.

    Hello,

I inspected your form. It is a very big form with a lot of fields and widgets. It takes at least 5 minutes to load my clone of your form on my side. This kind of approach to form creation makes your forms work very slowly. In order to avoid slow working forms, you can divide your form into multiple forms and calculate the total at the end, at another form.

Collapsing products under categories won't help your form work faster since widgets and calculations are loaded already when the page is loaded.

You can create one form per product category and then pass the total amount to the second form. In the second form you can calculate sub total and then pass it to next form. At the last form you can calculate the total amount. I will work on how you pass data from one form to another. I will prepare a guide for you. In the mean time you can read this thread. Passing data from one form to another is handled in detail here:

I was woking on your issue, I see that you can use Matrix Field or Sliders With Calculated Result widgets instead of Configurable Lists widget. I prepared a demo form for you to see how they work. Especially Sliders With Calculated Result widget is very fast at calculations and is very suitable for you. It calculates the total inside the widget, it does not collect data from other field on the form.

Your form includes 20 product category so if we want that form to be separated into individual product forms, it will take a lot of time to create it. I suggest you to try Sliders With Calculated Result widget. If you have any other issue on your mind please contact us again.

    Here the demo form:

Feel free to clone this form and experiment on it. Here how you can clone a form with its URL:

    All the best.
