As <br /> is an HTML element, it can only be used within HTML markup of any website or form. The break HTML element cannot be used inside CSS, regardless whether on JotForm or anywhere else.
When it comes to adding a break element to your form, what my colleague described is that you can add it inside the options of your form fields. For example, if you have a Check Box field, you can modify its options by clicking on its gear-shaped icon:
Then, switch to the Options tab, and insert the <br> element anywhere inside the option labels where you want them to break into a new line:
The above example would end up looking like this:
In a similar way, you can use the BR element inside the HTML markup of other fields of your form. If you need further assistance, please let us know where exactly you are trying to add the BR element when it is not working, and we'll be happy to help out.
Thank you.
