Google Sheets integration doesn't delete submissions when data is deleted in JotFormAsked by tfree9 on October 25, 2016 at 08:42 AM
We are using your Google Sheets integration, and it mostly works fine, except that when we delete a submission in Jotform, it is not deleted from Google Sheets. Since we are using JotForm as part of a booking system, this is very frustrating as every time we want to delete something we have to delete it both in Jotform and in Google Sheets, making errors likely and taking up unnecessary time.
Please could you rectify this.
Unfortunately, that is not possible, delete submission will delete only from submissions page and not from Google Spreadsheet.
Once submissions are synchronized with Google Spreadsheet, they are out of control of JotForm since they are in Google Spreadsheet.

It's simple, if your code can add submissions to the Google Spreadsheet then it can (and should) delete them too.
When a submission is deleted from Jotform submissions page, your Google Sheets integration needs to identify that submission in the spreadsheet (use the submission date/time to identify it) and delete the row.

When data is removed from JotForm it is intentionally not removed from integrated services. This is to allow users to keep a backup of their data on other platforms while still being able to delete the data from their JotForm account to clear up space.
I will submit a feature request to see if there is an option that can be added to allow for deleting data from integrated Google docs spreadsheets when the data is removed from JotForm. I cannot say if or when this functionality may be added, however, we will let you know via this thread if there is are any updates to the status of your request.
