    Limiting and editing form submissions.

Asked by Kristendahl on October 26, 2016 at 02:31 PM

I want to be sure we only receive 1 form per person BUT allow edits to be made to the form if mistakes are made or the info changes. To preserve the submission process it is important that the edits are made by the submitter NOT the form owner/creator. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible to limit the submission per person. You can use the Unique Submission option or the Unique Question option. Please refer to these guides:

    How-to-Set-Unique-Submissions-on-a-Form
    How-to-set-Form-Limits-Based-on-a-Unique-Question

Allow edits to be made to the form if mistakes are made

It is possible for the submitter to edit their form submissions. In this way, if they entered a wrong information, you can just send them the "Edit Link" privately.

You just need the URL (https://www.jotform.com/edit/) and then the (submission ID). The submission ID can be found in the Submissions page. Here's how:

You may also include this link in the auto-responder emails. Please refer to this guide: How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.
