Cloned a form, but the cloned form is using the original embed code, is this correct?

Asked by skjot on May 05, 2012 at 07:59 PM

The original form is: http://form.jotform.us/form/21257280505145 which I used for website A.

    I cloned it.

I changed the Cloned form heading for a different look as it's for a different website.  This clone form is for a website B.

When I went to get the embed code for Website B's form, the embed code has the same embed link/number as above.

How can I get a different embed code for the cloned form?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Just want to clarify this. Cloning a form will completely create a brand new duplicate of the orginal form, this means new embed codes and form ID.

I just checked your account and found only 1 form under this ID: 21257280505145. This simply means that the cloned form and the orginal form has different ID's. Can you please recheck it again?  Try comparing both form ID's, or try searching this form ID on your account: 21257280505145. That should give you only 1 form as result.

I would also suggest to clear your browsers cache, maybe this also helps.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks for using JotForm!

I cleared cache, but no luck.  I then decided to delete the cloned form and start over.  Although I thought, :-), I did the same steps as before to clone a form, this time, I did get a new embed form ID after going through the cloning steps.  I am a newbie to your forms and perhaps it's just a bit of training that I needed.  Thanks again for your quick response.  I look forward to continuing to build more forms!
