Is there a way to generate a PDF to look exactly like my email notification?

Asked by rlzolinas on October 27, 2016 at 10:21 AM

The notification that I created is perfect, is there a way to convert this into a pdf? I tried using the pdf customization under submissions, but there is a lot of formatting issues with that.

Unfortunately, PDF can not look exactly the same like email notifier(HTML page). It can include all fields in it, image etc.

Now I understand that you have some information missing from a PDF. You could use Customize PDF to add images and text fields:

They are showing in submission email:

If you copy them and paste from Notifier to PDF through Customize PDF option, it should look alike the submission itself.

Please try and let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you!

Thanks, I tried that and it cut half of my text off and wouldn't let me format the text.

I can see you're displaying the text directly in your form, in the email notification you cannot include the text from the form and you need to manually add it, in the PDF report it is a bit different and you can include the text in the report so you can then customize the layout.

I would suggest you to follow this guide so you show the text in the PDF report: How-to-show-headers-or-text-for-contracts-terms-agreements-in-the-PDF-format-of-a-submission

Then once this is done you may simply customize the report to look like you want as explained by Nik above.
