Square - swipe enabled somehow?

Hi - if I integrate with Square, is it possible to swipe cards with my Square reader? Or do I have to type in the credit card info every time?

Unfortunately, this is not likely that Square Reader for chip cards can be integrated to work with a simple web form. The credit card details should be manually entered through the form.

I thought the Square Reader would work the same way the reader at the grocery store works when their chip reader is not activated.  It just reads the card the old way...no?  Square reader won't work for any card that has a chip, is that what you're saying?

This thread refers to whether or not a Square reader would work with the form at all. Which apparently it will not. The question was not about regular vs. chip cards on Square. For that info you have to check with Square, not JotForm.
