    Problem with Google Docs spreadsheet data not integrating

    Asked by Heckington on May 08, 2012 at 02:35 PM

    I have just set up an integration of data with a google docs spreadsheet and having received a completed form, it is not showing up on my google docs spreadsheet.

    I set up as per your instructions (really easy thanks), but I can't see the new entries in the spreadsheet

    Thanks

    Hi Heckington,

    Thank you very much for using our new integration and giving feedback. The problem was me not considering your forms' headers could contain the pound character :). It is fixed now. Give it one more try, it should be working. Unfortunately, early adopters like you usually come across those silly mistakes we do, anyways we are trying to keep up with you guys. Thanks again.

    Have nice day.

    I am still not seeing all my submissions in my spreadsheets. I received one yesterday that is not showing up.

    Also, is there a way to change the date format as it comes in from JotForm? Currently it is in US format, eg: 12/24/11. But in the spreadsheet when you try to sort by date, it sorts by the first number which means that November, December or January get mixed up.

    Many thanks

    Jo

    @Heckington

    Please note that this issue is already being taken care by one of developers  staff , I am pretty sure canerbalci will come back to you with a solution in no time

    Regarding to the calendar, this seems to be a problem with Google docs it self,  I have notice this problem in some of my own spreedsheets, it will sometimes take MM-DD-YY , but sometimes it will take the opposite way

    Best regards

    Jeanette

    @Heckington,

    You can also try to remove your Google Docs integration, and then re-integrate in order to see if that makes any difference.

    Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

    I have removed all integration and it will now not re-integrate. It says a problem occurred during integration.

    @Heckington,

    Hi, can you please confirm if re-integration up to this time will still not work?
    And, will you be able to provide us the details on the re-integration error message? We can check further.

    I actually was able to clone your form and integrated it to google docs with no issue encountered.
    Please see below screen details when I did it.

    Please update us. Thanks.

    I have just set up an integration of data with a google docs spreadsheet and having received a completed form, it is not showing up on my google docs spreadsheet.

    I set up as per your instructions (really easy thanks), I can see the new entries in the spreadsheet but some fileds showing empty which were filled by the person(I see them in my Email notification) and some submissions are integrating perfectly, some submissions are leaving fileds.

    Kindly please view on this.

    @MirskyValoreMarketing

    Hi, the missing entries on the spreadsheet from new incoming submissions can be attributed to the fact that in your form, -- you have field labels/questions that are exactly the same

    There was already a separate ticket submitted to our dev team regarding this anomally. That will be addressed separately.

    Now, to over come this, just simply adjust/change the labels/questions you used on your multiple-page form.

    I did a test on your form and did something like this. (Please check screens including resulting spreadsheet)

    I simply changed the related addresses fields for each marketing pages.

    When the data is submitted to google spreadsheet it will now be able to 'properly' map the fields to the correct form labels/field source.

    Please try this on your end. Inform us if this does not work.

    Thanks.

    Hi Andrew,

    I have checked your form. But the related labels/questions are not changed. There are still existing labels like 'Property Address', 'City State'... that exist more than 1x in your form. Meaning, they are still the same/duplicated.

    Please try changing them, then remove integration and re-integrate to google spreadsheet.

    Please update us when this is done. Thanks.

    Pedro,

    I have just tried Google Spreadsheet integration and seems to be fine here. Could you please clear your browser cache and cookies and try it again?

    If that does not help, please create a new forum thread and provide us with affected form ID. Then, we will able to handle your request properly.

    Thank you.

    Now I see that you have Google spreadsheet integration errors from may, 2012 !!! Oh my good -  10 month and nothing is changed. It is not usable at all. I got only old recods (pre integration)  There is no one data in spreadsheet that is submited after integration. There is questiom why do you made this option if it dos not work at all. I am spent 2 days my time for this reintegration, cache clearing, browser changing, email account changing, but absolutely no results. If you can't make it in good working state in 10 (!!!) months, then remove this option. It will save time for many customers. Now (after 2 days) I read this post and, I'm sorry, but as I am really angry about the lost time.
    Cache and cookies clearing is only time wasting - it nothing change in Firefox, IE9 and Chrome on Win7-64. There is another problem. Probably with coding

    @Dainis

    The issue about this post had been long resolved. This thread was closed already.

    I am not sure if your issue is similar to the OP, but I would suggest you just continue on your post here http://www.jotform.com/answers/191293-Conection-to-Google-spreadsheet#1 , so that we can focus entirely on your own issue. Please do the follow up on your original topic.
