Excel Report: Does the date field export in the same format it is set up in the form?

I export the data for a calendar I'm using to an excel spreadsheet and need to do a count formula based on the date.  the formatting in jotform is not consistent with excel.  ie: jotform exports the data for November 8th as 8/11/2016 whereas excel formats it 11/8/2016.  is there a way to change this?  I've tried editing the field and it lets you change the order it is viewed but not how it is exported in excel.

I have just tested this on my end and I can see the date field is being submitted in the same format as it is recorded in the submissions page.

For example, I have set up the date field as shown in the image below: 

This is how I receive it in my submissions page: 

And the format keeps in the Excel report: 

I have also checked your form and I can see the same behavior, the date field is set up with the format you need and when I submitted a test and downloaded the report I can see the format is the same (dd/mm/yyyy).

Could you please share us a screenshot about how the report is being downloaded on your end?
