How can I create a form that takes a user's phone number and then sms texts them an offer?

Asked by matthewbrozen on November 03, 2016 at 05:46 PM

I am a web developer working on a application where I want the user to input their phone number into a form and then I want to sms text their phone number immediately after they submit their phone number. I am using a MEAN stack environment and have my API and Angular front end running on their own node servers. Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no in-source solution for getting SMS message using the form.

However, you can use Zapier integration to achieve this scenario. Below, you will find the necessary information about it:

In addition, you can use the specific addresses to send a text message; but sending a text message to users per submission is related to the phone providers support. For example, if you are using Sprint PCS, create a new email message (using Email Alerts button on the form builder) and configure it to send the email to the SMS address like this:

This is only possible when your phone provider supports this, so you need to ask them about this feature.

Hope this help. Let us know if you have further question.

Alternatively, you can also use Webhooks to develop your own SMS sending app.

If you have your own SMS service that has an API, you can try using a PHP script and automatically send SMS to your users after submission. You can check the sample PHP code here: http://www.jotform.com/help/248-Webhook-Samples.
