How to create pet story form to be stored in a library format?

I'm using your forms for users to submit their stories, memories and photos.  Can you format these stories and the accompanying photos so that they are held in numeric order by category.  For example, each pet story form will contain the type of pet, dog, cat, etc and should be allocated a sequentiial number. After editing they will be stored in a library format to allow users to read filed stories.

My site is under construction so you may not be able to see it.  The two forms used can be seen on your site.

Thank you for waiting. Here's my demo form: https://form.jotform.com/63123758290962

If I understand your correctly, you want to create a library format that will allow your users to read the other user's story about their pet. My demo form compiles all dog story and cat story to a different page which will be shown after the user submit their stories. You can also embed the URL of the cat and dog stories to your website.

I will create a guide if you like my demo form. If not, we would like to hear from you again. Keep in mind that's the only way to show the submissions through reports.

Hope that helps. Contact us again, if you want a guide for the demo form.

thanks for this - can the list of pets be longer - dog, cat, horse, rabbit, hampster, others?

Also we need to show the title of the story on the reponse form.

Can you add this to the demo please?

    Many thanks

    Hello,

I also created a demo for you just like my colleague @John_Benson but mine is more simple.
Please find the demo link: https://form.jotform.com/63143119875964

You can clone it on your side and modify as you wish.

If you need further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us.

    Thank you.

Hello Candy and thank you for the simplified form which looks great.  However I'm a first timer for building my website and am not sure what to do next.  Is the demo on my account with you?  Can I edit it as I wish (I think your format is great incidentally)

do you have a library of images so that I can have a dog on the dog page, cat on the cat page etc?

I couldn't see the listing pages where other users can select and read other peoples stories.

Grateful for your help on these points and thanks agaon

    Hi Peter,

Yes, you can clone demo form to your side and edit it.

Please have a look at this guide about how to clone an existing form: How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

In addition to my colleague response, I can suggest you to use "Other" option in your form. Please have a look at the following instruction:

1- Select Radio Button field. Click Properties icon.

2- Make "Display Other Option" ON and click "Save Changes".How to create pet story form to be stored in a library format? Image 2 Screenshot 51

In this way people can write their pets in this TextBox as you see in the following image.

Finally, please follow this thread about how people can read other people's story in your webpage: https://www.jotform.com/answers/994415

On the other hand, "Do you have a library of images so that I can have a dog on the dog page, cat on the cat page etc? " is another issue. I have opened a new thread about it. Could you please follow your thread from this link: https://www.jotform.com/answers/988126

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Thank you for using JotForm.

    Hello,

You can try to clone this one. I have cloned the form of my colleague which seems to be lock so it won't be cloned by others.

Please try this new link: https://form.jotform.com/63164900258960, it is the same as the one that can't be clone.

    Also, here's a related guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

Hope that helps. Contact us anytime if you need help.

    Thank you.
