How do I embed audio in a question?Asked by MarcoBa on November 08, 2016 at 06:23 PM
I'd like to ask to rate a word presented orally embedding the audio file in the question, the command below should play an audio file stored in google drive. I tried to write it in a text box with the html function but, otherwise in a html editor test online, it seems to not upload any audio file. Furthermore in the html code seen with the chrome's tools, the code do not appear correctly (see screenshot). If manually paste it works. Do you have any suggestion?
<audio controls="" autoplay="">
<source src="https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0Bz-pSCYM-YZdOVdWekl6VlYwRlk" type="audio/mpeg"></audio>
Its possible that the HTML filters on the system is preventing the inclusion of such HTML tags due to possible security risk. So the only HTML tags allowed in the text element are commonly used tags for formatting text and images which can be common on word processing documents.
As an alternative measure, I would suggest to simply put basic questions on your form, and then when you have your form's questions complete, get its full HTML source and place the code into your page or HTML file. And then modify the code there by inserting your audio embed codes in that page.
Using this method, you can flexibly change the layout of your form as well, as long as you do not alter the field name elements that may not be recognized by JotForm when it receives a submission in relation to your form.
