How can I set a default value for City and State in the Address quick field?

I was able to set the default country but am wondering how to set default city/state values for the Address "quick field".  My business services clients only in New York, NY and I'd like to have this info already in there when the form loads.

Get full form source code, paste it on your web site and then change the value for the city and state fields.

To get full form source code open the form on the Form Builder:
    1. Open "Publish" tab on toolbar,
    2. Click on "Embed" tab
    3. Select "Source Code" from the dropdown

To get full form source code open the form on the Form Builder:

    1. Open "Setup & Share" tab on toolbar,
    2. Click on "Share Form"
    3. Click on "Advanced Options"
    4. Click on "Full Source Code".

Is it possible for you to build the ability to have default values into all the fields?

I want to use the forms as a production agreement. Ideally, I'd fill in the majority of the form, use the email function to send it to the client, then they can add details or amend what I've written before sending it back. As it stands, I'm unable to input default values into address or date fields so I cannot, for example, input deadlines and so on.

It'd be great if this were possible.

It is possible to prepopulate the fields that do not have a default value option by using url query strings.

Take this form url for example:[addr_line1]=36%20Maple%20Dr.&address36[addr_line2]=Kenwood%20Park&address36[city]=Cambridge&address36[state]=Hogwart&address36[postal]=11539&address36[country]=United%20States&date[day]=28&date[month]=June&date[year]=2011

As you can see, it is quite pretty long as I have inserted default values in the url itself. Click here to learn how I implemented this solution.

Let me know if you run into any difficulties while using this solution. Feel free to search or ask around the forum if you have more questions or concerns.

Can this thread be updated so the instructions match your current interface?
