    When I first created a form I used the standard width and noticed when transfered to Facebook the right side margin cut into my text. I went back and narrowed the form width to 550 and noticed no changes when I updated the script on Facebook.

    You must get a new form code from JotForm, and replace the code you have on Facebook for that. Every time you change your form, you must do this.

    Here is how you can get facebook form code. Open your form on the Form Builder:
    1. Open "Setup & Share" tab on toolbar,
    2. Click on "Share Form"
    3. Click on "Advanced Options"
    4. Click on "Facebook" under "Social" category.

    More details here.

    Make your form smaller on the form builder:

    1. Open your form on the form editor and then click on "Style" tab on the toolbar

    2. Click on "Form Width" button and make it smaller

    3. Get new Facebook Form Code as described above and update your Facebook page.

    Hi,

    Once you put your code in facebook, facebook caches your code. No matter you change the form properties, the old code is executed. What you should do is change the version (3.1.96) to some another number like 9.9.99.

    An example code of a form code (first few lines where 3.1.96 is located) is below

    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/formstyle/1744145858.css?v=3.1.96"/>
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/css/styles/form.css?v3.1.96"/>
    <link target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/css/calendarview.css?v3.1.96" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

    You will need to change the version again if you change your form again.

    Did that work? I don't understand it..  I also have the same problem. But, I duplicated a form that worked perfect before I duplicated. I did this incase I mess up again. I fix some misspelled word and I save the form. I cilck on Embed form choose the facebook icon and It still the right side margin cut into my text. "Form Width" button and made it smaller. Still not working...  Oh I tried everything.

    Everytime you change the form in Jotform, and then you move it into facebook, you must change the code "3.1.96" into a new code (like "1.1.11"), because Jotform will change the code into "3.1.96" again which facebook has cached it with width 690 (first standard jotform width)

    example:

    - you make first form with width 690 and you move it to facebook with code "3.1.96" then facebook will cached your code 3.1.96 with width 690 forever!

    - and then you change the form width with 500 (standard facebook width i think) and you move it to facebook and change "3.1.96" with code "1.1.50" then facebook will cached your code 1.1.50 with width 500 forever!

    - if you have made a new form and forget to change the width from 690 into (for example) 500, even you have change the code for example "1.1.50" then facebook will cached your code 1.1.50 with width 690 forever!

    Would it be easier to just delete that FBML tab and create a new one and past the code in as is instead of messing with it.. Would that work? The instruction sound double but tedious. and confusing to look at the codes and finding what I need to change.. Would facebook see the new tab as a new tab with fresh codes?

    Hi,

    That's a good idea george, I've tried it and it work.

    But for me it's faster to change three short line of numbers then to make a new tab.

    Actualy it simple. Change your form, copy to facebook, then change the three lines of code. That's it.

    Once you have the width you desire, then use the last code for the width you desire.

    I tried that, but still does not work.

    I tried to change the version to .1 there are only two places one place didnt even have the ?v= piece

    so i tried to insert it manually, still no go

    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/formstyle/10412120353.css?v=.1"/>
    <link target="_blank" href="http://cdn.jotfor.ms/jotform.cssgz?v=.1" rel="nofollow noopener" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/css/styles/industrial_dark.css?v=.1" />

    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/formstyle/10412120353.css?v=7.78"/>
    <link target="_blank" href="http://cdn.jotfor.ms/jotform.cssgz?v=7.78" rel="nofollow noopener" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.jotform.com/css/styles/industrial_dark.css?v=7.78" />

    Try the code above. Version numbers don't start with full-stop or comma.

    Or change the number 7.78 (That is random but be careful not to use a version number again if you update your code)
