Auto Fill does not update saved entries within a Matrix field if new value is less than what was already savedAsked by tjsalmin on November 15, 2016 at 06:08 AMWe found an other problem concerning auto-save but matrixs (survey fields) now: If you change your answers (options; columns) when answering the questions (rows), only those answers (options; columns) are saved which are most on the right. For example, if you first put your answer to the column most on the right but you change it to the column most on the left, the answer most on the right will save after reload. So, this happens only if you, for example, accidentally navigates away from the form or clicks reload.
E.g., Link to the form where matrix answers are not saved correctly: https://form.jotformeu.com/62632583816360
Thank you for alerting us about this, I was able to reproduce the issue on a demo form:
I have first selected four different values. I reloaded the form, and these values were correctly saved:
Next, I've set all the answers to the second column:
Upon reloading the form after that, instead of the answers being saved as in the above image, they were loaded as this:
This has been escalated to our developers as a bug report, thank you for noticing it and reporting. We will let you know through this support thread when there are any updates about this issue.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this is being looked into and worked on.
