New UI: Dropdown is missing an Empty Option Text feature

How to make the first selection in my drop down boxes not count as a required selection. Please Help!!

I have another request for some CSS Code. On my form I need the first selection in the drop down boxes to not qualify as a required field. Example I need my customers to select a product before the form sends the info. So i need the product selection not to count as a required field until the user selects one of the products (Patches, lapel pins ,Challenge Coins). Same thing with the quantity drop down box.

This is not something that can be done with CSS, but I was able to set it using an 'Empty Option Text' feature via old user interface. Please re-check the form.

That option is not yet available in our new interface, so I have sent a ticket to our developers.
