    jotform integration in flash

    Asked by boerenooi on May 14, 2012 at 04:54 AM

    Hi Guys

    I've read the guides and my form link is custom made, because of my conditions and joomla. This is what my url looks like normally:

    "http://form.myjotform.com/form/20872644838564" class="jcepopup"

    My script in flash to click to this, looks like this:

    on (release) {

    getURL("http://form.myjotform.com/form/20872644838564" class="jcepopup");

    }

    I have NO CLUE how to combine these two or how to add that class. Could any one assist with this?

    Thanks

    B

    Hi B,

    Please correct me if I do not understand it correctly.
    What you wanted to happen is -- the "Contact Us" link when click, should behave similar to "Get a Quote" link? Like a lightbox.

    Will wait for your update. Thanks.

    Hi

    Please look on my site here. http://bit.ly/IXxYL9

    Look at ATCC> Get a quote

    I've used the jotform url with a class to make it popup and make the conditions work.

    I need the apply the same to my link in flash with the class. Is this possible?

    Now I see it.

    It was this link

    I will check.

    Yes, but it must have the same class or effect as the "get a quote" from the main joomla menu"

    I am sorry B. But I could not get any code from the link since it is a flash object.

    I wanted to view the source code but it seems it will not do because the flash object is 'compiled' already. If I right-click>>view source, all I get is the setting for the flash using a browser.

    But I had seen a 'class' combined with jotform lightbox -- but I could see the code for that.

    If you can check this thread http://www.jotform.com/answers/95730-how-to-use-lightbox-form-in-joomla

    You will see how it was done, -- the key part is what my colleague suggested on the later part

    How about combining the two class. Try replacing your button with this:

    <a class="lightbox-20767947951872 ja-typo-btn btn-red ja-typo-btn-big btn-big-red" style="padding: 6px 13px;cursor:pointer !important;">2012 FREE Online Quote</a>

    If you can do this in your 'get quote' code before compiling the flash object, maybe it can work.

    Hope this help in some way. Please update us.

    Thanks.

    Should I apply this WITHIN Flash as an action?

    There is also a very good reason why I went this route with my form on Joomla. I'ts because I use many conditions in my form and the height of the form is not fluid with joomls.

    What was done in the thread I provided you was:

    <a class="lightbox-20767947951872 ja-typo-btn btn-red ja-typo-btn-big btn-big-red" style="padding: 6px 13px;cursor:pointer !important;">2012 FREE Online Quote</a>

    The jotform class(red) was concatenated/combined with the joomla button class(blue)

    If you check this link , you will see the result of the image below.

    The "2012 FREE ONLINE QUOTE" button was a class mixed with jotform lightbox class. When you click it the lighbox pop-up.

    I am not sure though were you can do this in flash because I dont have it.

    I will have to check more.

    But I am hoping you can find how to do it on your end.
