I'm working on an application form and everything is working right with the session ID except for one field.
On the second page of my form, I have an address field show conditionally depending on an answer to a previous question. Everything in the address field saves fine, except for the country. It won't save no matter what I do. I tried setting a default country and it will always go back to the default. If a defaut country is not set, it will go back to "please select".

I'm sorry to say but i am a little bit confused. Are you talking about the second address field (on the second page) which has to be show if you answer this question below?
Is this address permanent or temporary?
I've checked your conditions and if you select ''Temporary'' a second address field has to be shown. Is that correct? So if i am not mistaken, you want to set a default counrty. I've changed it to UK and it worked well. Can you please clear your browser's cache and check your form again? By the way while you are working on your form, please make sure that you haven't opend it somewhere else. For example in a new tab.
If i misunderstood your question, please provide more details. So we can assist you further.

Thanks for your help. That is the question I am having difficulty with.
The default country is working fine. The issue comes when I use a session variable to save what the user entered.
For exampe: http://www.jotform.us/form/20876405131145?session=45893
I have tried to save the country in the temporary address field, but when I return it always goes back to "please select".

Hi, perhaps the correct session variable for the 'Temporary Country' field was not setup correctly. As we can see it is working properly on the 'Current Country' field. Please check that also.
One glitch I had seen before, which a possibility is happening here..
The required fields logic does not take effect or do not get triggered for 'pre-populated' fields.
Like in this case, when the session was called, the 'temporary country' was filled already. The 'please select' value is a filled value for temporary country -- the logic is not checking it if a valid value anymore.
Hope this provided additional help in seeking the resolution. Please inform us if you have further inquiry on this.

Thanks for your help.
Neither of your suggestions really solve my problem.
I just tried removing the condition to show the permanent address field and now it works fine, so it seems like there is a bug with conditional address fields. Is it possible this will be fixed soon or will I have to work around it?

You are probably correct.
Though, let me try to reproduce this also on my end so we can submit a proper ticket for it.
Will update you the soonest I can.
