Displaying the Thank You message when using the form's source code

Asked by jemmamoran on November 24, 2016 at 10:48 AM

I need my thank you message to appear on the same page as the form. Why does it default to forwarding to this url?

    https://submit.jotformeu.com/submit/63284051294354/

    Thanks for your help.

The issue you are reporting happens because you have embedded your form with the source code embed method:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/104-How-to-get-the-Full-Source-Code-of-your-Form

When your users click on the submit button, the form must send their responses to our servers, or otherwise it would be as if the user never submitted any response. When they click on Submit, their response is sent to our server at https://submit.jotformeu.com/

Our submission then presents the user with the Thank You message that you have set on your form. When the form is accessed directly or embedded with our recommended iFrame embed method, this all happens seamlessly, and the Thank You message is seemingly shown in the same space where the form used to be:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-form-iFrame-code

As such, if you want to show your thank you message on the same page where the form is, then the form must be either accessed over its direct link, or embedded on your website with one of the methods such as our iFrame embed method.

If you need further clarifications or assistance, please let us know.
