I'm playing with the FreshBooks integration which is making our life a lot easier just by adding contact details automatically into FreshBooks.
I tried creating an estimate and it seemed to work OK but there is one issue holding us back from using it. There does not seem to be a way to push across the product or subscription quantity. Is this correct?
For example, we have a 'number of servers' field that we would like to affect the product Quantity field in Freshbooks. But Quantity is not an option when selecting the field mapping.

I reproduced the scenario and it is not necesary to map the quantity field .
Once you setup the fields (Name, Email, etc) on the mapping section , click on next, you will see the Paypal integration field but no the quantity.
However, it will redirect your customer to Paypal site and ONLY then Freshbooks will generate the invoice with the quantity field included
See the results from my test below:

I'm not creating an invoice, I'm creating an estimate.
I'm also not using paypal integration.
I just want to create a plain FreshBooks estimate and push forward the quantity field along with everything else.

I too would love this option...
For estimates and invoices.. We use Authroize.net not payapl..

I think this is out of our hands, I see the integration works according to Freshbooks requirements, however I might be wrong and our developers might find a workaround. Let me forward your concern to the developer team
In your case, the Authorize.net should work the same way as Paypal along with Fresbook. So give it a try and let us know (please open a separate thread)

@Jeanettebmz. Thanks! Checking the FreshBooks API documentation it looks entirely possible to pass a quantity when adding line items to an estimate: http://developers.freshbooks.com/docs/estimates/

I would suggest you to create a quantity field (choose a dropdown menu)
If you need further assistance, let us know

ahh, I didn't see the 'Add new option' button when configuring products in the payment wizard before. I've gone ahead and created a quantity field, renamed it to 'Number of servers' and it all seems to work! An estimate gets created in FreshBooks with the correct quantity. Great!
Now to work out why adding FreshBooks 'Estimate' integration seems to break the 'Thank You' page from displaying and prevent the Notification email from being sent out... I've started a new thread for that:

but freshbooks integration already has it...
