This is the second time we my email has been placed on the bounce list.  This time I used your last response to get off the bounce list.  I have lost 12 emails how to I get to them?  Also this is killing my business because I don't know we are not getting filled forms until some one calls to let me know we have a problem.  I have lost 12 opportunities to place animals and we look like idiots.  This is unacceptable you need to correct this.  I have been a customer for years and suddenly this is a problem whats up?  I am trying to bust a learning curve to figure out how to stay off this bounce list crap so give me a solution.  This will not happen again...........

    Hello jonesco61,

The way to resolve issues in preventing emails from landing in the bounce list is basically understanding the error given or the reason why it landed on the bounce list. So in sense, removing an email from the bounce list is just a patch-work solution and not an absolute one unless the reason has been addressed.

But, based on the email address alone, which you are using an aol.com email, this kind of email address has highly strict standards, which is beyond what is generally accepted on receiving emails, for this reason why we do not recommend AOL-based emails for receiving email alerts.

With this, I would recommend using a public domain email address instead such as gmail or any email which uses Google Apps.

If you have questions or you need clarification on this matter, please let us know.

    Thanks.

With a more relaxed standard on receiving email alerts, yes, gmail will not happen. Although there would be chances that this may happen in the future. Although Gmail has better settings which will allow you to control the receiving of your emails such as preventing certain emails from landing to the spam folder. You can force an email address once received to land on your inbox or to land on a specific filter. I have created a guide for it which you can find here: https://www.jotform.com/help/404-How-to-prevent-emails-landing-in-spam-folder-in-your-Gmail-account

With regarding to AOL, this email service used to be lenient on allowing to receive emails of all sorts, until hackers, spammers, spoofers started taking advantage of this, masking themselves to be someone else which raised a flag on email services and organizations to address the matter.

However, since we have no information on the issue to why your email keeps on landing on the bounce list, I can only suspect that having a default email address sender noreply@jotform.com has been flagged by AOL due to possible misuse of the sender address having different names when sent to them. Example: The noreply@jotform.com claiming to be John, and then later on the same email address claiming to be Peter.

Hope this gives a bit of clarification on the matter.

If you have questions, please let us know.

    Thanks.
