How Dr. Miami uses JotForm to collect patient information

Not too many MDs sit on a throne in their own office. And even fewer doctors have more than a million followers on Instagram and Snapchat.

Needless to say, patients of Dr. Michael Salzhauer (aka Dr. Miami) aren’t just in for a procedure when they walk into his literal tower Miami; they’re in for an experience. WE tv even turned his day-to-day practice into a reality show for a season

But behind all the celebrity, there’s a plastic surgeon with a great reputation who helps real patients with real problems. And from that end, he’s all business.

“It’s all about [patients] looking and feeling their best,” says Salzhauer. “What I try to do is improve people’s self confidence.”

Dr. Miami is a master promoter, and JotForm plays a big part in getting new patients in the door.

His team creates forms for various contests; for post-op photo submissions from patients; and for new-patient special offers. In total his practice has dozens of forms.

Using JotForm, he’s been able to save thousands of dollars that would have gone toward paying outside IT help, and he can deploy forms much faster than he did before.

And then there’s the HIPAA compliance. It’s one of the first things Dr. Miami checks for whenever they’re adding new software to his practice, and he makes sure to use HIPAA-compliant forms with JotForm.
