Congratulations on reaching the end of your high school career. The Pontiac Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is glad that you have chosen to advance yourself by way of higher education. We support your decision and aim to assist you in your endeavors by providing monetary resources through scholarship. We are excited to extend to you this invitation to apply for a 2020 scholarship award. Please be advised there are 5 possible scholarships for you to apply for, please select only ONE scholarship. This online form is the application packet and includes application requirements and application form for each scholarship. The completed application packet must be submitted via this online form by April 3, 2020, at 11:59 pm. (NO EXCEPTIONS). This online form will shut down on April 3, 2020, at 11:59 pm. Directions for Uploads
Each of the scholarships requires documents to be uploaded. For recommendations, transcripts, and test scores only PDF documents will be accepted. Please make sure your recommendations are signed and on the organization's letterhead. High school transcripts should be stamped with a school seal. For the Arts & Letters award, you may upload jpeg, png, mov, or mp3 files. You may also upload a link to the file in a Word document. Formatting file names: Last Name. Scholarship Awards

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
- Current African American High School Senior (male or female) who resides in or attends school in the Pontiac Alumnae Chapter (PAC) service area: Auburn Hills, Bloomfield, Bloomfield Hills, Keego Harbor, Lake Orion, Oakland Township, Orion Township, Orchard Lake, Pontiac, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Sylvan Lake, Troy, Waterford and West Bloomfield - Acceptance into a post-secondary educational program (of any type) - See below for individual scholarship requirements:
Academic Award:
1. A completed, online application submitted by April 3, 2020 at 11:59 pm. 2. Upload a current official High School Transcript which includes GPA. Minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale 3. One letter of recommendation from a school official (administrator, teacher or counselor) should include content regarding your academic achievements on school letterhead. 4. A typewritten, double-spaced 250-300 word essay (5 paragraphs). Please see specific scholarship section for essay requirements. 5 A copy of your college acceptance letter.6. A recent photo of yourself (cap and gown or business attire only ).
Social Action Award:

Community Engagement Award:
1. A completed, online application submitted by April 5, 2019 at 11:59 pm. 2. Upload a current official High School Transcript which includes GPA. - Minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale 3. 1 Recommendation from Community Leader on letterhead of organization & 1 Teacher Recommendation on school letterhead. 4. A typewritten, double-spaced 250-300 word essay (5 paragraphs). Please see specific scholarship section for essay requirements. 5. A copy of your college acceptance letter. 6. A recent photo of yourself (cap and gown or business attire only ). 7. Completed 100 service hours from April 2019-April 2020. Service hours that are completed in conjunction with youth groups such as Delta Academy or Delta GEMS maybe included.
Arts & Letters Award: (Music, Dance, Theater, and Visual Arts)
1. A completed, online application submitted by April 5, 2019 at 11:59 pm.. 2. Upload a current official High School Transcript which includes GPA. - Minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale3. 1 Teacher Recommendation on school letterhead4. A typewritten, double-spaced 250-300 word essay (5 paragraphs). Please see specific scholarship section for essay requirements. 5. A copy of your college acceptance letter.6. A recent photo of yourself (cap and gown or business attire only ).7. Participation in the Arts for a minimum of 2-3 years8. Sample of Art (Video or Pictures)
Pontiac Scholar Award:

Upload a current official High School Transcript which includes GPA. - Minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale 3. 1 Teacher Recommendation on school letterhead 4.
