  • Urban Teachers - Dallas/Fort Worth Cohort 2016 Summer Registration Survey


  • This survey will help Urban Teachers gather information that will inform planning for summer institute, residency school placements, and general programming. Please answer all questions even if you do not plan to live in the housing provided by Urban TEachers. The survey should take 15-20 minutes at most.

    Please note it is a requirement of Urban Teachers to have a gmail account. Gmail is the tool we use to send out schedules, communications and surveys.

  • Summer Housing

     

    Urban Teachers will be providing your room and board for Summer Institute 2016. From Wednesday, August 3rd through Friday, August 26th, Urban Teachers residents will be housed at the Hilton Anatole (2201 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX, 75207). Residents will stay two to a double queen room.


  • Parking at MICA

    Residents may choose to purchase a parking pass for the Fitzgerald garage or elect to find parking around the campus in the Mount Royal and Bolton Hills neighborhoods. Parking permits can be purchased for $195 for the 1.5 months you will be on campus. The garage is located about .6 miles away from the dorm rooms and .3 miles from coursework (about a 6-7 minute walk from the former). If possible, we recommend you purchase a parking pass. You will find it especially useful during Artscape (a festival that takes place near campus) when street parking will be difficult to find. Aside from Artscape, there is free parking around the university. Please be aware, that MICA is a city campus and parking is first come, first served. You must be vigilant about reading both campus and city parking signs.

    If you would like to purchase a parking pass, you will need to complete the form below and bring it with you to Summer Institute Move-In Day on Friday, June 17th. Parking passes will be available for pick up at 4:15pm on June 17th at MICA, location TBD.

  • Summer Institute Move-In Day - Friday, June 17th

    The preferred window of time for arrival is in-between 8:30am and 3:30pm on June 17th. You will need to go to Baltimore City Public School district offices for your fingerprinting and background check between the hours of 10:00am-3:30pm. The Welcome BBQ will begin at 4:30pm. The Welcome BBQ is mandatory.

    If you are unable to arrive on June 17th, you must email Megan Rottman (megan.rottmann@urbanteachers.org) to explain your situation.
