As a volunteer, you agree to act in a way that demonstrates integrity and respect within your position as well as your personal life. Volunteers are held to a higher standard, as we view approved volunteers as our team members and representatives of Four Corners Charity.
While FCC is not registered as a religious organization, many of our leaders are of a religious background, which may carry certain stigma or challenges within their community abroad. Any such details pertaining to the faith and practices of others are not to be shared without permission of a founder, and safety must be considered at all times. Volunteers are in no way required to be of a certain faith; however, please understand FCC advocates for spiritual growth. Volunteers are asked to commit to meeting with the local representative, as well as other potential volunteer team members as a way to foster communication and support.
Please read the following statements and sign below:
I, as a volunteer, understand this is an unpaid position. I understand Four Corners Charity is not registered as a religious organization, and all personal involvement regarding religious beliefs by those involved with FCC is sensitive information, not to be shared without prior permission for the safety of all those represented. No service of FCC pertaining to spiritual growth is manufactured for conversion.
I commit to volunteering for a period of three consecutive months, within reason. I commit to approaching any individual personally with whom I have issue. All problems are to be solved quietly and without involving third parties, unless the issue cannot be resolved on its own. I commit to working for the good of those in need, and understand my interactions with others of FCC can either further progress, or hinder our mission.
As a volunteer, I understand all interactions with donors, advocates, and the public must be with the utmost respect. Immediate dismissal as a volunteer may result if I am found to be behaving in an unprofessional or disrespectful manner. I understand that volunteers are asked to meet periodically, and will do my best to attend.
Please become familiar with the following issues. FCC representatives must understand how the charity is influenced and effected by these areas: The Caste System, Anti-Conversion Laws, and persecution of minorities in India and Asia.
