We do not have to check the reference of your current employer as long as you are still employed there. However, if you are no longer employed at the time we place you in either a full-time role or a consulting engagement, this most recent employer is required. It is always better to have a reference at both your current and previous employers. We will not infringe on your current employer if your search is confidential.
