Data Protection Notice
1. The Muslimin Trust Fund Association (“MTFA”) supports deserving Muslim students in their tertiary education by awarding bursaries or scholarships (“Financial Assistance”). In order to process the application and administering the Financial Assistance, MTFA has requested for your Personal Data* (and your family members’ personal data where applicable) in this application form.
2. Your Personal Data may be collected, used or disclosed for the following purposes:
- Processing your application, including evaluating your eligibility
- Verifying your background information
- Administering and/or managing your relationship with MTFA, including responding to, handling, and processing queries and requests from you
- Monitoring of your compliance with terms of our services or assistance
- Offering other assistance provided by MTFA
- Carrying out research and analysis for MTFA’s policies on our services and assistance programmes
- Any other incidental business purposes related to or in connection with the above.
3. MTFA may provide and/or disclose your Personal Data to the following parties:
- Any person or organisation where required by law or pursuant to an order of court of competent jurisdiction
- Third party service providers engaged by MTFA for the purposes stated above.
4. You confirm that your family members, whose personal data you have provided, have been informed of this application and have consented to the collection, use or disclosure of their personal data for the purposes stated above.
5. You will inform us if there are any changes to the personal information that you have provided so that we can update our records accordingly.
6. MTFA has adopted appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures to safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification disposal or similar risks.

8. I confirm that all the information given in my application (including all the documents submitted) is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge, and that I have not deliberately omitted any relevant fact.
9. I understand that if I am found to have provided any false or inaccurate information in my application, (a) disbursement may be withheld; and (b) I will be obliged to refund MTFA the total amount of monies that has already been paid to me.
10. I understand that MTFA reserves the right to reject any application without providing verbal or written explanation
If you are filling up this application form on behalf of your child/ward, all references to “your personal data” refers to your child’s/ward’s personal data. Likewise, any reference to “your family members’ personal data” shall refer to your child’s/ward’s family members’ personal data.
