Nan Tien Temple Buddha Birthday and Mother's Day Celebration Dharma Service

Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple WA will be streaming live through Facebook at 8.30 am on 10th May, with direct telecast from Sydney for the ‘Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple 2020 Buddha’s Birthday Festival and Mother’s Day Blessing Dharma Service’, praying for the recovery from COVID-19, peace and hope in the society.

During the service, there will be offering of incense, flowers, light and treasure. In the Sutra of Giving, Buddha said, “Making offering to the Triple Gem can provide you with 5 kinds of benefits: good appearance, increased vitality, longevity in life, happiness and stability, talent and success”.

1. Incense offering: peace in mind and spirit, purity of the body, eradicate the 3 negative karma, opportunities to listen to the Dharma.

2. Flower offering: handle matters beautifully like the flower, being liked by those who sees you, having a body that exudes fragrance, filled with the joy of truth.

3. Light offering: possess bright eyes, career or business without obstacles, right view and understanding, complete wisdom.

4. Treasure offering: eradicate negative karma, peace of mind, longevity of life, staying far from the evil path.
