Charter schools are free, open-enrollment public schools that are required by law to serve all students. Charter schools shall be open to all students on a space available basis and shall not discriminate in its admission policies or practices on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, status as a handicapped person, proficiency in the English language, or any other basis that would be illegal if used by a school district.
I certify that all of the information I have provided on this application form are truthful, accurate, unaltered, and complete. I understand that the Jersey City Community Charter School requires uniforms, has a strong discipline policy, and relies on parental participation. I understand that if there are more completed applications than spots available by the application deadline, a lottery will be held, placing those not selected on a waiting list. Any completed applications received after the application deadline will be added to the waiting list, if a lottery is required.
