  • Please complete the below registration in order to be able to attend Beth Jacob Congregation's Minyanim for the week of June 14-20.  This form covers both Shabbat & Weekday tefillot, and must be completed by Thursday at Noon.

    We look forward to fashioning beautiful, meaningful and safe minyanim to inspire us all.  
     
    Shabbat Minyanim
    Minyanim will take place at 8:30am in Jacob's Garden and 9:15am in Shapell sanctuary and will have limited capacity to ensure social distancing.
    Please note that the Davening will begin at Nishmat. (Brachot & Psukei D'zimra should be recited at home.)

    Weekday Minyanim
    Shacharit in Jacob's Garden on Monday & Thursday at 6:45am and on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday at 7:00am
    Shacharit in Shapell Sanctuary will take place at 7:40am.
    Mincha & Maariv will take place in Jacob's Garden.

    Please note a separate form MUST be submitted for each person planning to attend.

    Registration for Shabbat must be completed by noon on Thursday, June 18.
    As such, please carefully read the rules and regulations for davening at Beth Jacob. You will be required to sign an acknowledgement before your registration will be completed.

  •   Our rules and regulations: 

    • Facemasks must be worn at all times.
      All congregants must, as applicable, bring his or her own siddur, chumash and tallit.
    • Jacob’s Garden is recommended for those that are 65 years of age or older and/or immunocompromised. This demographic will be given first rights to attend. We encourage those in this demographic to consult with their primary care physician before attending.
    • No one who has COVID-19 symptoms, has tested positive without 2 subsequent negative tests, or who has been in contact with someone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days may attend.
    • If you are not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of sickness, we ask that you not attend.
    • Temperatures will be taken as a precondition to entering either Jacob’s Garden or main shul.
    • All those who come to daven must maintain strict social distancing at all times when on campus. This means that there must be six feet between all members during tefilla, in the hallways and when entering and exiting.
    • Markers or tape will be placed at all entrances to ensure those waiting to enter are standing at least six feet apart.
    • Entrance to a minyan is conditioned on having registered in advance. 
      There will be mobile restrooms for use by attendees at the minyan taking place in Jacob’s Garden as well as for handicapped persons.
    • Attendees at the minyan in Shapell Sanctuary will be permitted to use the downstairs bathrooms. Only two people per gender may use the downstairs bathrooms at one time.
    • All bathrooms will be monitored full-time by a custodian and sanitized between every use.
    • Door handles will be regularly sanitized.
    • Each minyan will be staffed by a member of the clergy not including the Chazzan.
    • At this time, children who cannot sit with a parent or guardian for the duration of the Tefilla may not attend Beth Jacob services.
    • All decisions involving whether and when to remove a person from the premises and/or prohibit a person from entering the grounds shall be made by the Rabbi and President (and/or their designates) in consultation with the head of security. Anyone davening at Beth Jacob must commit to following the instructions of any Beth Jacob monitor or designee.
    • Seating is first come, first served in designated areas that ensure members are at least six feet apart.  No individual’s customary seat will be reserved for that person nor may it be demanded that someone move if a person has already taken that particular seat.  Monitors will be assigned to oversee all seating and will have absolute discretion to move individuals to alternate seating for safety purposes.

I expressly agree to assume the risk of attending services at BJC and agree that I bear full and total responsibility for all sickness, injury, damages, or losses (collectively, “Losses”) I may suffer, or that a family member of mine may suffer, or that a person with whom I come in contact may suffer, that arise out of or are connected to my attending services at BJC, including but not limited to my becoming infected with the COVID-19 virus (the “Virus”) or my infecting someone else with the Virus. I hereby release and discharge BJC, its Clergy, Officers, Directors, employees, agents and staff, from any and all liability for such Losses, whether such Losses result from BJC’s acts or omissions, or my acts or omissions, or any acts or omissions of another person who attends a BJC service.
