Road Code - Virtual Driving Training for Teens
Road Code is a program developed by UPS,based on the training UPS uses for its own drivers, who are among the safest drivers in the world. UPS funds organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs around the world to deliver Road Code to teens aged 13-18 years old. The program content focuses on safe driving principles and provides opportunities for youth to discuss ways to avoid risky behaviors such as distracted or impaired driving. It can help teens who are preparing to take their driver’s licence test and it can be a great way to introduce concepts of safety both as a driver and as a passenger.
The overall program goal of Road Code is to introduce practices of safe driving by:
• Identifying the top risks for teen drivers and passengers • Learning five viewing habits that reduce risks • Learning the UPS 10 point commentary for safe driving • Practicing skills using the UPS driving simulator
