• COVID-19 Health and Safety Facility Protocols

  • Wrestling Club Camps and Practices

    • Masks must be worn by athletes (excluding when in practice), staff/coaches (excluding when in practice), and non athletes (ie. Parents/Grandparents/Siblings) always.
    • Health questions will be asked to anyone entering the building; athletes, coaches, or any that is not a coach or athlete. Please refer to the Ohio Dept of Health website for their preferred list of questions that we will be using.
    • Temperatures will be taken for coaches, athletes and anyone else entering the building before each session and documented. If a temperature is 100.4, that individual and whomever they came with, will be sent home.
    • Release of Liability must be signed and on file with Club Director prior to participating.
    • All must use sanitize hands before entering the building.
    • All athletes must have their own water bottle.
    • Non- Athletes may not stay in the building during practices. They may sit in their car, leaver or wait/watch practice from the side parking lot if the garage door is open. If you choose to watch through the garage door outside, you must maintain social distancing of 6ft and wear a mask, based off Ohio State Mandate.
    • Non-Athletes may enter the building to assist young athletes with preparing for practice (tie shoes, etc) but cannot stay in the building after they have completed assistance.
    • During practices, the athlete will be limited to one partner for drilling technique.
    • During the live scenario portion of practice, the athlete may choose two additional partners to wrestle with. This will provide a group max of four wrestlers each practice.
    • Hands must be sanitized before you enter the building, before you enter the wrestling room and before you exit the building.
    • Hand Sanitization Stations are located at: o the entrance of the building, o the entrance of the wrestling room, o the exit of the wrestling room; o and at six stations throughout the wrestling room as well as Defense Body Wipes.
    • Only one person allowed in the restrooms at a time
    • No personal belongings or street shoes are allowed on the mats.
    • Athletes will clean wrestling shoes in the bleach trays before stepping on/off the mat.
    • No wrestling shoes are to be worn outside of the building
    • The athlete must clean up their own bodily fluids.
    • There are to be no High Fives, Hugs, or etc. between anyone.
    • Coaches will provide multiple breaks during practices for athletes to use the hand sanitization station and wipe down with Defense Wipes.
    • Athletes will wipe down with Defense Wipes before leaving the building after practice
    • If there is more than one practice in a day, the athletes must shower or use Defense Wipes and change their clothes in between sessions.
    • Equipment will be sanitized before and after each practice. This is includes the mats, wall mats, exercise bike, climbing rope, throw dummy, crash mats, and physio ball. Any other equipment located in the facility cannot be used at this time.
    • Bathrooms and other common areas will be cleaned before and after each session. Coaches will inspect the bathrooms and other common areas during practice times to inspect the need for additional cleaning.
    • If the athlete or the non-athlete feels sick or are experiencing any symptoms pertaining to COVID-19, it must be reported to the Camp Director at Xxxxx immediately.
