    As we prepare for our season in the year ahead, we would like your input.

  • Festivals

    At this point in time, we have decided three things: first, we will be combining both our festivals (OBA Provincial Festival & OBA Small Ensembles Festival) into one, joint event; and second, we will be hosting our new festival as a virtual event in the late spring of 2021. And finally, the focus of this year's festival will strictly be on creating a positive opportunity for students - awards will be adjusted to reflect participation, enthusiasm, creativity, etc. There will be no gold, silver or bronze categories. It is our view that a festival will allow you and your students the opportunity to set at least musical goal for the spring and hopefully provide an event around which you and your students may rally.

  • Honour Bands

    The Provincial Honour Band plan to have a new rendition of the program to operate in the spring. We would like some feedback to create the best possible experience for all students across Ontario who participate in this event.

  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

    The OMEA recently struck an Equity and Diversity committee and reached out to its affiliates, including the OBA, in search of feedback that might inform their critically important work.
