Consent to Point of Care Testing (POCT) for Covid-19
By providing your consent to take a test for Covid-19 voluntarily, you will be confirming that you understand the following:
- The test requires a nasopharyngeal swab and is not guaranteed to be painless.
- The test takes an average of 15 minutes to return a result. Thus, you will remain at the facility until the medical professional issues the result and gives appropriate advice.
- Test results will not be shared with any third party.
- Variable results are possible in persons who are immunosuppressed.
- A positive test does not confirm developing immunity to COVID-19.
- If the test result is positive, you will self-isolate and adhere to current Government guidelines.
