COVID-19 Real Estate Disclosure Form

The intention of this disclosure is to help you to make informed choices about access to the Property during this time in light of the spread of COVID-19.

COVID-19 became an international concern that led to the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring the outbreak as a Public Health Emergency. Countries started declaring a state of emergency that led to lockdowns, suspension of domestic and international travel, and business suspensions or closures.

It has determined that real estate services, including inspections, appraisals, and those practices that are necessary for the completion of the transfer of real property may be conducted by the parties physically; provided that the necessary health protocols are in place in the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 as recommended by the Department of Health are complied with.

While measures are in place for the protection of the health and safety of individuals, these measures are not foolproof and such physical activity nonetheless still has potential exposure to COVID-19.

By signing this form, the parties acknowledge and fully understand that traveling and accessing the property entails risk of exposure to COVID-19. The parties agree that such exposure may have consequences such as injury, illness, disability whether permanent or temporary, economic loss, or death. The parties assume the risks of such exposure and have fully consented with knowledge of the possible consequences thereto.
