COVID-19 became an international concern that led to the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring the outbreak as a Public Health Emergency. Countries started declaring a state of emergency that led to lockdowns, suspension of domestic and international travel, and business suspensions or closures.
It has determined that real estate services, including inspections, appraisals, and those practices that are necessary for the completion of the transfer of real property may be conducted by the parties physically; provided that the necessary health protocols are in place in the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 as recommended by the Department of Health are complied with.
While measures are in place for the protection of the health and safety of individuals, these measures are not foolproof and such physical activity nonetheless still has potential exposure to COVID-19.
