• Spring 2021 (SP2021) - Faculty Time Report

  • All faculty should complete this form no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, Janurary 22nd.

    Please complete the following online form reflecting your classes and office hours. This time report is your official declaration of your work hours for the Spring 2021 (SP2021) semester. Please note, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on-campus time (prep-time) will be strictly limited to the spring. As a result, these hours will not be collected and only office hours (online) and class time will be collected.

    Instructions are below.

    Online/Virtual Classes
    Faculty teaching online (ONLN) or virtual (VIRT) classes should report all class time and office hours as online for the fall semester. Due to social distancing requirements, office hours are to be delivered virtually via Google Hangouts or Blackboard Collaborate for online classes.

    Full-time Faculty Requirements:

    • A minimum of four (4) office hours are required per week. No more than two (2) office hours may be scheduled per day.
      If teaching an overload, additional office hours are required. The general rule is one (1) additional office hour if teaching under 25% overload; and 1.5 additional office hours if you teach more than 25% overload.

    Part-time Faculty Requirements:

    • One (1) office hour is required if teaching under 25% load; 1.5 office hours are required if you teach between 25% and 39.9% load; and two (2) office hours are required if you teach a 40% load or more. If teaching up to 60%, a third office hour may be required.

     

    The Dean will review submissions and will email approved signed copies of this form to you by the end of the day on Friday, January 29th.

    Faculty teaching online classes are expected to share office hour information with students on the first day of class when the syllabus is distributed.

    Office hours as submitted on the form should also be reflected similarly on your course syllabus for each section taught.
