Dress Measurements

Use the diagrams below to guide you through this most critical process in recording your measurements.
• Measure in inches
• Wear a proper-fitting supportive (NOT PUSHUP!!!) bra
• Tie an elastic snug, not pinching, around the waist & hip
• Put the waist at the smallest section of your torso
• Measure to the nearest 1/4”
• Be true with measurements at the time of measuring.

This includes the waist. Please do not measure to 'desired' body type or where you think you will be.

Taken around the chest, crossing the bust points, and PARALLEL to the floor.

With the elastic tied at the waistline, measure from the protruding bone at the back of the neck, to the waistline.

From shoulder point to shoulder point, across the back of the body

The neck circumference is taken around the middle of the neck.

Measurement taken around the NATURAL waist, PARALLEL to the floor.

example: 26.5

Taken around the hip at its fullest point and PARALLEL to the floor.

From underbust to waist (Blue vertical line: refer to the elastic around your waist)

From waist to hip (Blue vertical line: refer to the elastic around your waist and the elastic where you took your hip measurement)

Optional Hip Measurement- If you want your corset to end above where your took your hip measurement, indicate length (VERTICAL line from waist to desired bottom of corset)

The measurement is taken around the fullest part of the upper arm with the arm bent slightly. Please bend your arm and take the measurement at FULLEST portion.

From the top of the head to the bottom of the feet WITHOUT shoes.

example: 66.5

From the shoulder at the neck intersection to the apex of the bust.

example: 12.5

From bust apex to bust apex.

From the breastbone at the center front (between the breasts) around the fullest part of the breast and across the nipple to the side of the body where the breast flesh ends. This measurement should be taken while bending over and wearing your best fitting bra.

The measurement taken around the rib cage directly under the breasts and PARALLEL to the floor.

Retail bra cup size is used to calculate the size of the side bust dart and adjustments needed to allow for the size of your beautiful breasts.*
