  • About

    Abounding Prosperity Inc. (AP, Inc.) will provide rental and utility assistance to extremely low, very low and low income clients, impacted by COVID-19, through the City of Dallas Emergency Rental Assistance Program. In addition to rental assistance, AP, Inc. will provide comprehensive supportive services to improve housing stability and decrease homelessness.

    The deadline to apply is December 15, 2021.

     Eligibility

    To be eligible to receive funding through the City of Dallas Emergency Rental Assistance Program, an applicant must rent a publicly or privately owned residence in the City of Dallas. The annual gross household income must meet the following guidelines, as defined by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

    Additionally, the household must have been impacted by COVID in any of the following ways:

    • job/income loss, temporary or permanent
    • reduction in work hours/income
    • increased healthcare or household expenses that attributed to insufficiency of rent payments (i.e. increased child care expenses due to school closures)
    • unable to find or maintain gainful employment due to COVID-19
    • inability to find employment due to COVID-19 health restrictions or economic impacts
    • other evidence of negative impact  or financial hardship due to COVID-19

    Applicants who have previously received rent or utility assistance from the City of Dallas, or any other agency or organization through the CARES Act Emergency Rental Assistance Program is ineligible to receive additional funds.
