The term 'Pan-Africanism' is a container describing culturally relevant infromation about and belonging to African people all over the diaspora. It is a conciousness that recognizes the unity of people in a global quest for liberation. The qualities of Pan-Africanism are represented by the Red, Black, and Green Flag. Red represents the blood shed by Africans over time; Black the melanin that is key in identification; Green the land and nature that is central to People of Color everywhere. This ideology guides the information-seeking process.
