Check Equipment with Controls in the "OFF" Position
Check Pendant Support Chain or Cord
Check Batteries and Harness on Remote Control Device
Inspect Hook and Safety Latch
Inspect Wire Rope or Chains for Kinks, Broken Links, or other damage
Check to see if wire rope or chain is seated in grooves properly
Check that chain bucket is secured with tether
Check that load rating is marked on hoist and supporting structure
Check Controls. Auto Return type should return to Neutral when released
Operational Inspection
Check Equipment with Controls in the "ON" Position
Verify that Upper & Lower Limit switches function
Check the Hoist, Trolley, and Bridge Brakes
Test all motions
Check for proper festoon cable/trolley function
Fit for Service
