  • COURSE AT GLANCE

  • This course will help you understand social-emotional learning by means of developing self awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills. These skills are vital for school, work, and life accomplishment. The course includes several activities that will expose you in different practices of understanding emotions, feel and exhibit empathy for others, establish positive relationships, set and attain goals, and make responsible decisions. This course will include five credits, and each credit will tie into one of these categories: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management, and responsible decision-making.

  • CREDIT SUMMARY

  • Students will identify their own personality or individuality. They will be able to focus on themselves and understand how their actions, thoughts, or emotions can affect their own image and others. Students will be able to objectively evaluate themselves, manage their emotions, and align their behaviors with their values. Students will perceive self-awareness as a path of being more confident and more creative.
