Fees/Payments: All payments are due in advance. We DO NOT accept cheque. Only cash or e-transfers are acceptable. E-transfer to: abc@example.com
Monthly fee ($1800 and Daily fee $120): The Parent agrees to pay $______.__ on the first day of the month. Fees shall be paid in full regardless of the child being absent due to illnesses, vacation or any other absences. Failure to pay the full child care fee may result in termination of this child care space. Receipts will be issued annually unless otherwise requested. ABC Child Care will give Parents 3 months written notice of increases in child fees.
Affordable Child Care Benefit: Parent agrees to pay the regular fee until Affordable Child Care Benefit gets authorized . If Affordable Child Care Benefit is authorized, the Parent agrees to pay the portion of the fee not covered by the Affordable Child Care Benefit also on the first day of the month.
Late fee: The Parent is to notify the Caregiver in case of late pick-up. A late fee of $15.00 for every 30 minutes late will be charged and is payable immediately.
Closures: Our Child Care will be closed on following days: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. For all these days mentioned above, we charge full rate.
Deposit(Retainer): The parent must pay a Deposit of 50%($______.___) upon registration deducted from the last month’s fee. This amount is NOT REFUNDABLE if you decide to withdraw after a trial period without 1 month notice.
Notice: The Parent is to give the child care 1 month written notice of withdrawal of the child. If proper notice is not given, the Deposit will be forfeited. (e.g. for December 15, notice must be given on November 15).
Trial period: The trial period at ABC Child care is 1 month. During the trial period, either the parent or the caregiver may give 2 days in advance notice to terminate this agreement. The Caregiver will refund the Deposit and the remainder of the monthly fee.
Caregiver/Caregiver child illness: If the Caregiver/Caregiver child is ill or otherwise unable to provide care, the facility will be closed, parents to provide substitute. Fees will be adjusted to reflect the number of days that care was unavailable.
Caregiver Vacation: ABC child care will be closed for the Caregiver`s 2019 Vacation from December 9th to 16th. Caregiver is taking 2 weeks Vacation in a year and If the exact date of the Caregiver`s Vacation is not known at the time of registration, the Parent is entitled to 2 Months notice prior to the Caregiver vacation. Regular fee is applied during this time. The child care will be closed.
Drop Off & Pick Up (Release of Child): Parents must accompany the child in and out of the Child Care each day. Children must never be dropped off in the driveway, at the entrance or in the yard. The Parent is to ensure that the Caregiver receives the child. The Parent agrees to notify the Caregiver by 7:30 A.M. if the child will be absent for the day. Verbal or written permission must be received before we release a child to anyone who is not authorized on the registration form.
Medication: Caregiver is not responsible to administer prescribed or non-prescribed medication to the children while they are in the child care.
Too Ill to Attend: If a child cannot participate in daily activities due to illness, they should remain at home until the symptoms disappear. These symptoms may include: Discharge from ears or eyes. Vomiting. Unexplained Rashes. Diarrhea. Fever. A child must remain at home if diagnosed with any contagious disease such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, rubeola, gastroenteritis, impetigo, or conjunctivitis as per Vancouver Coastal Health policies and Child Care Licensing Regulation. The child may return to the Child Care with a doctor's note that confirms tha the child is no longer contagious and is able to participate in typical child care activities. If the child becomes ill during hours of care, the Parent will be notified to pick up the child immediately.
Duty to Report: Every person in Canada has a personal and legal duty to report any concern about child neglect or child abuse to the appropriate Ministry at 123-456-789.
Emergency: In case of emergency or need to evacuate the Child Care, the caregiver will contact the Parent. The Child Care emergency location and phone number is: Sunset Community Center, phone 123-456-6789. Fire safety plans and procedures are in place. Regular Fire and Earthquake drills will be practiced with children once a month.
Child's Right: At ABC Child Care all children will be treated with the respect they deserve. No child will be spanked or humiliated.
Missing Child: At ABC Child Care we make every effort to protect each child in our care. Should a child go missing we have a policy in place.
