Founded in 2003, the Ivy & Roses Community Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity that supports education, the arts and other community building activities in metropolitan Atlanta. Our mission is to provide resources for charitable, civic and direct service programs. These include scholarships, educational assistance and partnerships with other agencies to magnify community impact.
Purpose: To identify graduating college seniors planning to graduate from an Atlanta-area HBCU in the May 2018 semester experiencing a financial crisis that may hinder their Spring 2018 graduation.
Reward: Various college seniors selected from the pool of qualified applicants will be awarded scholarships for financial assistance to be disbursed in April 2018 for a one-time award of up to $1,000.00 based on need as verified by the attending University or College.
Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award:
- Transcript showing current status;
- Seniors graduating in May 2018;
- Current bill from an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in Atlanta, GA;
- Complete a narrative of no more than 250 words, discussing one of the following:
Please describe the financial hardship you are experiencing and how this scholarship will assist you in graduating in May 2018.
*Application must be submitted by March 25, 2018 at 11:59pm.
*GPA and extracurricular activities are not required but may assist in the selection process.
