Your application will put you in consideration for the following positions with the First-Year TRAC program:
1) Peer Mentor: under supervision, works with freshmen students in the UNCO 101: Peer Mentoring course. Must be available to attend UNCO 2301: Leadership & Engagement on Mondays from 4PM-5PM. Will also teach two sections of UNCO 101. Ten hours of work per week.
2) Supplemental Instructor: works closely with a distinguished professor assisting with instruction in the UNCO 1301: Signature Course. Also serves as peer mentor, with duties described above (will teach one section of UNCO 101). Student must be available Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 10:00AM – 10:50AM (and attend UNCO 2301). Fifteen hours of work per week.
3) Executive Mentor: serves as Supplemental Instructor and Peer Mentor. Additionally, this position will facilitate communication and coordination of activities for a group of peer mentors. Executive Mentors must have served as a Supplemental Instructor and/or Peer Mentor for at least one semester to be eligible. (Assists in UNCO 1301, teaches one section of UNCO 101, attends UNCO 2301). Nineteen hours of work per week.
Peer Educator positions are highly competitive. These positions are for the Fall 2019 semester, only. This position is open to UNDERGRADUATE students only. Graduate students who apply for this position will be automatically declined in Handshake.
