    Purpose

There are two major purposes for this program:

    1. Intensive leadership development of staff. Staff will be offered the tools to be successful in their career.
    2. Investment in campers. Staff should keep the development of campers the primary focus, just as teachers must remain focused on the student development.

We have two ways we impact campers:

    A. Our staff directly impact campers by serving them, providing excellent programming, being a role model, and interacting with them.

    B. During SLC our staff work to foster the relationship between student and teacher so that the teachers can impact them for the entire year.

    Disciplinary Action and Termination

The staff program is designed as an intensive leadership program. Staff will be held to high standards similar to a teaching career due to their leadership positions with campers. Failure to follow the standards may result in warnings, disciplinary action, and/or termination. Employees in the state of Georgia are "At Will" employees, which means an employee can be dismissed by an employer for any reason, and without warning, as long as employment law is followed. Staff can be certain that camp administrative staff will make every effort to invest in the success of the staff.
