Yes
I will responsibly schedule my time in order to fulfill robotics team obligations.
86
I will quickly handle any scheduling conflicts that come up by COMMUNICATING TO MY COACHES BEFOREHAND.
87
I accept that this is a one year commitment.
88
I am aware that this form does not mean that I am selected for Robotics team. I know that this is an application form and Mrs. Mortenson will select the team members from among the applicants and my ability to get work in on time, to have appropriate attendance at school, and to demonstrate proper behaviors in a classroom environment are all factors that will affect my selection
89
I accept that the schedule may be changed. More meetings may be held as competitions are approaching
90
I accept that although robotics clubs are not currently bound by the rules of the MSHSL regarding academics and behavior; those rules which govern Minnesota student athletics will also apply to members of the Southland VEX robotics teams.
91
I understand that there are requirements in the summer and will make every attempt to participate in at least one of the activities (practices required) considered part of the 2019-20 season (parades, boot camp and/or competition camp held at Southland, summer practices if scheduled).
Boot Camp (for new applicants)-Dates May 28-30; 3:15 -5 pm
Dairy Days Parade-Adams (Sunday June 9th)
Competition Camp- July 29 -Aug. 2 ( approx. $300)
92
I understand that we have equipment and tools in the BOT Cave that are both dangerous and expensive, so I will demonstrate appropriate behavior to care for myself, my teammates and the robotics equipment and if I violate this rule, I may be let go from the team.
93
I accept that if I miss two robotics meetings without making arrangements to fulfill my obligations by communicating to the coaches before hand, I will become a probationary member. If I continue to miss meetings without arrangements, probationary members will be cut from the team. Due to the high number of participants, this rule will be strongly enforced as we need dedicated participants.
94
If I missed a substantial amount of practices or was ineligible for a portion of time in the last season, I understand I will be a probationary robotics member at the beginning of this next season (notified in acceptance letter).
